Description: In its 2024-2025 Judicial Hellhole Report, the ATR ranked 10 jurisdictions that have earned reputations as “Judicial Hellholes”: (1) Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas & Pennsylvania Supreme Court; (2) New York City; (3) South Carolina Asbestos Litigation; (4) Georgia; (5) California; (6) Cook County, Illinois; (7) St. Louis; (8) Michigan Supreme Court; (9) King County, Washington; and (10) Louisiana.
In this program, our panel of seasoned trial attorneys and senior in-house counsel will share their experiences litigating cases in these venues and other judicial hellholes. Our panelists will explain what qualities make up a judicial hellhole (e.g., law, judges, juries), and how to anticipate and successfully defend a company going to trial in these venues. We will also cover strategies for successful voir dire in today’s climate.
